For Venues & Staff
Found a Loot Hunt card on your property? Here's what it is.What is this card?
It's part of Loot Hunt, a scavenger hunt game. An organizer hides cards with QR codes, and players scan them to earn points on a leaderboard. That's it: no ads, no app to install, and nothing to buy.
Is it safe to scan?
- Every Loot Hunt code opens a page on loothunt.ca and nowhere else.
- Players don't have to give an email, phone number, or payment details. A nickname is enough to play.
- The cards are plain paper with nothing attached.
What should I do with a card?
- Fine where it is? Leave it for players to find.
- In the wrong spot? Feel free to remove it and recycle it, then let the organizer know so they can fix it.
- Questions or concerns? Contact the organizer, or scan the card and tap Report an issue. Reports go straight to the hunt's organizer.
Which hunt is it from?
Scan the card with your phone's camera. The page that opens names the hunt and has an About this card link with the organizer's contact details.
